June 28, 2007- August: Osage County premieres at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago

-When August: Osage County premiered at Steppenwolf is was quickly known as the show critics had to see. With Tracy Letts being an ensemble and collaborator at Steppenwolf, there was an excitement in Chicago revolving around this new and dangerous play which began to be compared to the American theatre greats such as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Glass Menagerie, and Long Day's Journey Into Night. With such a successful run in Chicago, the production transferred to Broadway and kept a majority of the original cast.
